Ultrasonic Cavitation

What is ultrasonic cavitation?

Ultrasonic cavitation is a relatively new non-surgical technique. It involves the use of ultrasonic waves that allows you to reduce localized adiposity, tearing the connections of the fat cells that will eventually be disposed through the urinary system.

What was ultrasonic cavitation first introduced?

The cavitation in aesthetics was introduced for the first time in Milan in 2005, even if the physic phenomenon called cavitation is known since the 60s.

Is ultrasonic cavitation painful?

No, it's painless. Little reddening may occasionally appear but don't cause pain. The heat generated by the light is perfectly tolerable.

Is it a safe treatment?

Yes. It's a non-surgical procedure, without anaesthesia, non-invasive and allows you to carry on with your social life before and after the sessions.

In which areas is the ultrasonic cavitation more effective?

All parts of the body where localized adiposity resides; therefore legs, abdomen and buttocks are the most appropriate sites but there's no real limitation regarding body areas.

Is it possible to lose weight with ultrasonic cavitation?

Ultrasonic cavitation is not a method to lose weight but to shape the body. It is particularly indicated to reduce adipose panniculopathy, the so-called "fat cushions" in case these don't go away with diets and exercise.

What the contraindications with ultrasonic cavitation?

Individuals with implant devices such as pacemakers or prosthesis should not undergo ultrasonic cavitation. Pregnancy and breast feeding mothers are also contraindications for this procedure.

Are the results similar to a liposuction?

Yes, fat is removed and won't appear again in the treated areas, without harming the vascular system and without post-operatory course.

How is it possible to remove solid fat through urine?

The ultrasonic cavitation emulsifies fat cells and coverts it into a liquid substance easy to remove through the lymphatic and urinary systems.

Is any previous or subsequent treatment needed?

A low-calorie diet is suggested and is mandatory to drink at least 1.5 litres of water before and after sessions: Drinking water is essential to eliminate the broken fat and toxins.

How much time should pass between two sessions?

The body eliminates fat in 72 hours. So it is best to schedule your next appointment in 4 days.
How many sessions of ultrasonic cavitation are needed? When will I see the results?
Between 8 and 12 sessions are required. Results are usually seen from the third session onwards.
